Inverness is better connected than ever before and well served with transport links.
Air
The airport just 7 miles east of Inverness, a 15-minute drive or taxi/ bus ride from the city centre. Inverness Airport offers a range of daily flights to and from a number of key destinations including; London (Heathrow, Gatwick & Luton), Amsterdam (Schiphol), Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham, Dublin, Belfast City, Stornoway (Isle of Lewis), Kirkwall (Orkney), Bergen (Noway) and Sumburgh (Shetland).
Codeshare agreements with Aer Lingus, BA, KLM, Cathay Pacific and Etihad, to name a few, allow for worldwide connections through their extensive networks.

Road
The A9 is the main access road to Inverness from Perth, Edinburgh, Glasgow and the South.
The A82 on the north side links Loch Ness and the length of the Great Glen from Inverness in the north to Glasgow in the south.
Megabus, Citylink Gold and National Express Coaches operate regular buses from Edinburgh, Glasgow and London (overnight) to Inverness.
The journey by road to Inverness is a combination of spectacular scenery and wonderful places to visit.
Rail
Inverness railway station in the city centre operates services throughout the picturesque Highlands, with frequent trains to the major cities throughout Scotland and England.
Virgin Trains East Coast services from Inverness include Edinburgh, Newcastle, York and London.
